Voting is one of the most important ways you can support the community as a player. As a token of our appreciation, we offer several rewards for voting that can be found in our website shop. These rewards can be bought for vote points, which are awarded to you after you have linked your Minecraft account to our website.
Linking your Minecraft account to earn vote points:
First, create an account on our website (using the ‘Register’ button in the top right corner of this screen). Then, follow all the instructions in this link. (Note: Instructions MUST be followed to receive vote points!)
Once the process is completed, you will start earning vote points every time you use the voting links on the homepage!
This is our all-in-one reference page. Here you will find all the information you need to understand our server as a new player.
Steelton is a hard, semi-vanilla survival server. PVP, raiding, and griefing are allowed. However, players are also given the ability to create land claims in order to protect their builds and items (PVP is disabled in all claimed areas. Our vision is to create a server that provides an enjoyable experience by bringing Minecraft back to its roots - friendly players and a small devoted staff team.
The server is, first and foremost, a survival server, and most of the plugins we use are chosen with the survival player in mind. Certain ranks (see the Rank guide section for more info) have access to limited creative mode, and staff members have access to unrestricted creative.
The server’s difficulty is set to hard. This means that you will find lots of mobs and death by starvation is possible. Plan accordingly!
The server is Semi-vanilla. This means that you can expect an experience somewhat similar to vanilla Minecraft. However, certain plugins are used to create a richer player experience and make server management easier for the staff team. For information about non-vanilla plugins and features, refer to the Plugin and feature information section.
There are a number of rules, which we enforce to ensure a safe, fair, and fun environment for everyone. For more information, please check the Rules section, or type /rules in game.
PVP, raiding, and griefing are all allowed. Players are encouraged to protect their builds and items from raiding and griefing by claiming them using our claims system (see the Plugin and feature information section). PVP is disabled is SpawnTown and all Claims.
Client-side modification exceptions:
Modifications that are cosmetic and/or do not give you an unfair advantage over other players (Optifine, minimaps, etc.) are allowed. In general, it’s better to be safe than sorry - if you are unsure, ask the owner or staff!
Guidelines and etiquette:
Keep in mind that our server has a very diverse playerbase, with players of all ages from many parts of the world represented. Treat everyone with respect, regardless of your personal relationship with them.
Welcoming new players to the server is a great way to make new friends and contribute to the growth of our community! Greeting new players is not a requirement, but refrain from acting in a way that actively discourages them from playing on the server. Avoid immaturity.
Staff members will occasionally ask for feedback and input from members of the community - we use your feedback to make the server a better place! Don’t hesitate to contact us with your feedback.
Special rules and guidelines for creative mode players:
Certain ranks have access to a limited form of creative mode. More information about this mode, as well as rules and guidelines that apply to these players, can be found in the Rank guide section (look for Supporter)
If you believe you have been banned by mistake, please refer to the Ban Appeal section of the forum (check in the Important links section on the sidebar)
Use /warp promotion - you will be ranked up automatically. This will enable PvP and Teleportation commands will start to cost money.
A number of plugins have been added to create a server economy. Players can earn money through mining, building, and hunting mobs. This money can then be used to buy and sell items from other players, and can even be used to buy the VIP ($75,000) and Supporter ($100,000) ranks!
Trade among players is done in one of three ways:
Auctions, which are done through a plugin in the chat
Trade, done by sending a trade request to the player you want to trade with, and
The market, which is a place to rent physical shops containing shop chests, located at /warp market
Renting a shop in the market:
Shop plots can be found in the market (located at /warp market). Standing in an empty plot will provide the rent price for that plot in chat. Rent is due every two weeks. If your balance is enough to cover it, it will be automatically withdrawn. Unpaid rent will result in the plot being reset and put up for sale.
Creating a shop chest:
Note:Shop chests can only be created in the market and certain player settlements (the ones with warps in the basement of spawn and in /warp). If you have a settlement and would like to enable shop chests, please contact a staff member.
Place a chest on the ground
Place a sign 1 block away from the chest (for example, above it) and format it in this way:
The first line will be automatically filled in by the plugin.
The second line is the amount of items to buy or sell.
The third line is a combination of buy and sell prices.
The fourth line is the name/id of the item being sold. It can be typed in by hand, but typing ? and then placing the item to be sold in the chest will automatically change the line to the proper name.
Example: A person can buy 64 diamonds for 10 dollars and sell them back for 5 dollars from Phoenix616.

In normal survival, you quickly reach a point where your gear is strong enough to withstand any mob attack. This tends to get boring quickly, so we’ve added theEliteMobsplugin to the server. This plugin adds an almost infinite variety of new gear and challenging mobs to fight! The plugin is also scaled - the strength of the EliteMobs you will encounter depends on how strong your armor and weapons are. EliteMobs drop armor, tools and weapons that are impossible to craft with high-level enchantments. These drops can be sold in the EliteMobs shop to earn Elite Coins. The EliteMobs shop randomly generates an entire page of high-level gear that can be bought with Elite Coins every time you enter the command.
/em statsDisplays the number of elite mobs currently in the world.
/em shopOpens the EliteMobs shop, you’ll see something new every time!
/em customshopOpens an advanced EliteMobs shop with other items.
/agAdventurers guild - allows you to adjust the difficulty of the mobs.
/em pay [username] [amount]Pays the player the specified amount of Elite Coins.
/em walletDisplays your Elite Coin balance.
/em cointopLists the players with the most Elite Coins.
/em checktierChecks your ‘tier’ - this depends on your gear and the difficulty you selected in /ag.
